Sophora

A sophora blooms on a cotton satin, graphic and elegant. This majestic shrub is represented in a minimalist style, in which the empty space is as important as the used space. Sophora explores the limit between positive and negative. Embroidered with a coloured wool yarn, the foliage continues in reversed colours, giving the composition perfect balance. Its outlines is lifted by a satin stitch. Poetically known as the “Pagoda Tree”, this plant is used to dye silk and embroidery thread.
